This event is an incredible opportunity to learn how you and your business can support survivors of domestic abuse and intimate partner violence\, making a significant difference for future generations. \nDuring the breakfast\, you’ll hear powerful stories from survivors\, gain insights into the impact of domestic violence in our community\, and discover how your involvement can drive meaningful change. Networking with other compassionate business leaders will also provide inspiration and ideas for integrating support for survivors into your corporate culture. \nIf you are already signed up for iCare\, this is the perfect time to pick up your purple box filled with materials to help raise awareness. Our very own Prevention Program Manager\, Charity Jordan Rex\, alongside iCare Chair & Springfield Business Journal Executive Editor Christine Temple\, will co-host the podcast interview with special guest Alexis Smith.  \nJoin us at the iCare Breakfast to hear from Alexis Smith\, Miss Kansas 2024. As a dedicated cardiothoracic intensive care nurse and second-generation healthcare professional\, Alexis brings her passion for service through her community service initiative\, Respect Reclaimed: Advocating for Healthy Relationships\, aiming to raise awareness about unhealthy and abusive relationships. Through her work\, she seeks to educate individuals on recognizing the signs of various forms of abuse. \nShe is a spokesperson for the National Domestic Violence Hotline and a content provider for the One Love Foundation\, reinforcing her dedication to ending intimate partner violence. Her viral on-stage response at the 2024 Miss Kansas competition catapulted her into the national spotlight\, with appearances on Good Morning America\, People Magazine\, the New York Times and other media platforms across the country. She continues to use her platform to inspire change and create a safer\, more informed community. \n \n  \nThis year\, we are also excited to partner with Rich Kramer Construction as we raffle off a customizable playhouse! Raffle Tickets are just $25 each\, and all proceeds go to support survivors of domestic violence. On the morning of the iCare Kickoff\, we will be drawing the winner of the Playhouse Raffle.
