Harmony HouseHow YOU Can Help

Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence are prevalent in our community. Springfield/Greene County often has the highest rate of domestic violence in the state and Missouri is second only to Alaska in the number of women killed by an intimate partner. But there is hope.

Awareness of the issue is the first step in breaking the cycle. Through prevention education among our youngest community members we can teach kids about healthy vs. unhealthy vs. abusive relationships. And we can all take steps to stop domestic violence by recognizing when it is happening, responding in a non-judgement way, and referring victims to support services that can help them.

You can also help by donating time and money to provide support services to those who have made the brave decision to leave.
