You Can Help Rebuild Shattered Lives
Greene County has one of the highest rates of domestic violence in the state. Our 41 room shelter is full nearly every night of the year. Your gift will help Harmony House provide safe shelter and support services to the individuals and families who seek our services each year.

Gifts of Cash
The out of pocket cost to you can be less than the dollar amount of the gift because of allowable federal tax deductions and Missouri Domestic Violence Shelter Tax Credits. Missouri tax payers who contribute $500 or more to Harmony House may be eligible for a 50% tax credit toward their state taxes.
Endowment
A hardworking, perpetual resource because the principal remains intact, and investment income is used to provide financial support to Harmony House.
Matching Gifts
Many employers will match employee charitable gifts. Check to see if your employer will make a matching gift.
Gifts of Real Property
You can give private, commercial or agricultural property. If your property has decreased in value, you might consider selling it and contributing the proceeds to receive both capital loss and charitable gift deductions.
Planned Giving
A planned gift is a set of ways a donor can leave money or assets to a nonprofit upon his/her death, or a way of investing money so that the donor receives benefits during his/her lifetime and then bequeaths the remaining funds to Harmony House.
Planned Gifts of Securities
Stocks, bonds, mutual funds and IRAs, etc. may provide an excellent way to make a major gift. A gift of appreciated property (assets now worth more than you paid for them) may enable you the opportunity to deduct the fair market value without the need to pay capital gains taxes if transferred to Harmony House before the sale.
Planned Gifts of Trusts
There are many ways to give including charitable remainder trusts, deferred gift annuities, charitable lead trusts, etc. Some gifts return income or other financial benefits to you in return for your contribution.
Planned Gift of Insurance
Name Harmony House as owner or beneficiary on new or no longer needed policies.
Planned Gift of Bequests
As part of your will, bequeath a specific dollar amount or a portion of what remains after your obligations to others are fulfilled.
