YOUR TIME CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS!
Volunteers are a vital part of Harmony House. Your gift of time helps provide higher quality services to the survivors of domestic violence who call Harmony House home.
Volunteer opportunities are available in many areas and at various skill levels. Our unique approach allows volunteers to initially experience different areas of the shelter, which enables volunteers to determine where and how their skills set, talents and interests will best serve Harmony House and provide the greatest enjoyment to them.
MEAL PREPARATION AND SERVING
Are you a culinary whiz? Is food preparation a passion? We would love to have your help assisting our kitchen staff with meal preparation, serving, and cleaning.
BUILDING MAINTENANCE/LANDSCAPING ASSISTANCE
Handy with a hammer and nails? Work alongside our maintenance man and assist with building repairs, landscaping and other maintenance projects.
If you have a friendly voice and office work is your thing, we’d love your help in our administrative office. This involves answering the phones, general office work and other clerical tasks.
Do you love nothing more than the look and smell of a newly mopped floor? Helping with general cleaning the shelter and our administrative offices might be your gig!
DONATIONS & BOUTIQUE
Is home organization your thing? If so, we would love your help in our donations and Boutique areas. Volunteers may assist in receiving, sorting, and stocking incoming donations. In the Boutique you will work one-on-one with residents who are shopping for outfits, accessories, and makeup.
INTERNSHIP AND PRACTICUM PROGRAM
