Help me support safe help for folks who are experience domestic violence right here in Springfield. I care because NOBODY deserves to feel unsafe in their own home. Ever. Men, women and children are all targets for abusive people and Harmony House helps them break free and regain their sense of self-trust.
– Harmony House is the only domestic violence shelter in Greene County and the largest shelter in
the state of Missouri.
– They can shelter up to 130 survivors of domestic violence each night.
– It costs just $35 for each safe bed night provided by Harmony House, INCLUDING meals, case
management and all other services! ( ******* That’s PHENOMENALLY fiscally responsible! ******* )
– In 2021, Harmony House served 456 women, men and children in shelter and served 1,070 individuals through partnerships with the Family Justice Center and the Springfield Police.
I’m setting a goal of only $200. In full transparency, $100 of that’ll be mine because I believe in this cause SO much. But I figured if I could find enough like-minded folks to double my impact it would be incredible and easily worth the time it takes to set this up and ask. So if you can throw in $5 or $10 I bet we get there pretty quickly. Thanks for considering! (And knowing that MANY of my friends and family are already supporting things like hurricane relief and animal shelters, do NOT over stretch yourself. There are plenty of folks for us to help in this world.)
