They say domestic violence is a problem that happens behind closed doors.
Here is a fact that blows open that reality – Harmony House is Springfield’s only domestic violence shelter and they had to turn away 1,905 domestic violence victims in 2015 due to lack of space.
Springfield, we have simply got to do better.
On October 28, 2016 Harmony House is holding a public awareness event called “iCare”.
Join people throughout the community who will be taking the “iCare” pledge by wearing a symbolic black eye to raise awareness of the domestic violence problem in our community and raising funds for Harmony House to help save lives.
Domestic violence is not a problem that can be kept hidden any longer. The secret is out; thousands of people in the Ozarks are trying to leave and have no place to go. On October 28 help us change that.
